You know that tanning salons are everywhere, but are they safe? Yes. When used as directed, tanning salons and beds provide the best and safest alternative to outdoor sun. Tanning beds are the safest place to tan because timers provide control to measure the dose and prevent sunburn. Mere exposure at controlled levels is safe and does not cause any of the negative things that you might read about regarding sunlight and health.
At Escape Tanning Studio, we use both the horizontal and the vertical tanning booth. In a horizontal booth method, the tanner lies down to receive the rays, while a vertical booth provides light from all sides while the tanner stands.
We also provide the “Hand-Airbrushed” Spray Tan. This method is done by hand by one of our well trained, knowledgeable and experienced professionals who understand the importance of even application. This method does not leave tan lines and blotching that is sometimes found common when in self-application. This natural-looking process lasts generally from 7 to 10 days. The solution used is water-based and completely harmless. Airbrush tanning is good for customers seeking an instant tan or for those who do not do well with U/V exposure. This process is also good for clients who may have had problems in the past with skin cancers.
Indoor tanning equipment utilizes a carefully formulated and controlled mixture of the two light waves, designed to tan you with a minimized risk of sunburn. Tanning outdoors does not give you this control, because the sun emits the entire spectrum of ultraviolet light, including the most intense rays that burn you more quickly. That's why we call indoor tanning "Smart Tanning."
